Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has addressed rumours linking him romantically with fellow actress and reality TV star Bamike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan, popularly known as Bambam amid speculation about her alleged separation from her husband, Teddy A.

Speaking in an interview with BBC Igbo which was shared on Thursday, Arukwe clarified that he maintains strict professionalism when working with colleagues, particularly those who are married.

According to him, he is usually careful while filming romantic or physical scenes with co-stars to avoid creating issues in their personal relationships.

“I met Bambam for the first time when we shot that movie and before filming, I was always asking my co-lead actor if it is okay to touch them in a certain way, especially the married ones because I don’t want them to have problems at home,” he said.

The actor, known for his role in Love in Every Word, explained that whenever a script calls for intimate scenes, he ensures he gets his co-stars’ consent beforehand to prevent misunderstandings outside the set.

Arukwe added that everything done during filming is strictly professional and should not be interpreted as anything personal.

“I’m very careful with things like that. I always ask first because I respect people’s homes and marriages,” he added.
