    Fernandez could leave Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has refused to rule out a potential departure from the Blues during the summer transfer window.

The Argentine has been a key player in the first-team squad at the Blues but his future seems doubtful beyond the ongoing campaign.

Fernandez wants to play regular Champions League football in the prime of his career, and that may not happen with the Blues next term.

The west London giants are sixth in the Premier League with 48 points, one behind Liverpool, who are occupying the final Champions League spot.

They have a tough schedule until the end of the league season and seem the likely club to miss out on Champions League qualification.

Regardless of this, Fernandez has sparked speculation regarding his future by refusing to confirm that he will stay at the club next term.

He said after the 3-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain last night: “Can I guarantee I’ll stay at Chelsea next season?

“I don’t know. Right now I’m focused on this, then the World Cup comes next and we’ll see after that.”
