Dangote Refinery has increased petrol price again amid rising hardship and hunger in Nigeria.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Dangote Refinery has announced an upward review of the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), increasing its gantry price from ₦1,175 to ₦1,245 per litre.

The new price, representing a ₦70 increase per litre, will take effect from 12:00 a.m. on March 21, 2026, and will apply to all outstanding and yet-to-be-loaded volumes.

In addition to the petrol price adjustment, the refinery also raised its coastal supply price from ₦1,512,648 to ₦1,606,518 per metric tonne.

According to the company, the price review was necessitated by ongoing global geopolitical tensions impacting energy markets.

The refinery further stated that customers with valid Bank Guarantees can continue to lift products under existing arrangements, provided they pay the price differential.

All outstanding payments for the price difference are expected to be settled on or before March 23, 2026.

The latest adjustment reflects the continued volatility in global oil markets and its direct impact on domestic fuel pricing.
