LSSTF Boss Ayo Ogunsan has visited Lagos Taskforce and promised increased support for security operations.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Executive Secretary and CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Ayo Ogunsan, has commended the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Enforcement Unit for its role in maintaining environmental order and enforcing law across the state.
Ogunsan gave the commendation during a working visit to the Taskforce headquarters at Bolade-Oshodi on April 16, 2026, where he praised the agency’s contributions to tackling urban challenges in Lagos.
He described the leadership of the Taskforce Chairman, Adetayo Akerele, as commendable, noting that the agency has continued to address multiple social and environmental issues despite operational risks.

According to him, the Taskforce remains a critical player in managing the complexities associated with a fast-growing and densely populated city like Lagos.
Ogunsan also assured the agency of increased support from the LSSTF to enhance its operational capacity and effectiveness.
In his response, Akerele expressed appreciation for the visit and the continued support provided by the LSSTF in the form of equipment and operational tools.
He reaffirmed the Taskforce’s commitment to intensifying efforts in tackling environmental and security challenges across the state.
The visit concluded with the presentation of a commemorative plaque and the agency’s annual magazine, showcasing its activities over the past year, to the LSSTF chief.
