Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is expected to sign a new long-term contract in the next 24 hours, according to The Mirror.
The England international had a tough start to the campaign under manager Ruben Amorim and he was hardly in the starting line-up.
However, his situation completely changed with Amorim’s exit. Under interim boss Michael Carrick, he has been a mainstay in midfield.
Mainoo recently returned to the England set-up as a result, and he looks an assured figure to play at the World Cup in North America.
Amidst this, it is claimed that Mainoo has already agreed to pen a new long-term deal. An announcement is expected in the next 24 hours.
United confirmed Harry Maguire‘s renewal recently, and Mainoo is the next in line to commit his future amid his turnaround under Carrick.
He was reportedly exploring a new challenge away from the Red Devils last winter but has now become undroppable from the starting XI.
