    Nigerian Police Force (NPF)

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has rescued the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12 year old twin sons, Peter and Paul in Oyo State.

Report says the police operatives neutralised two suspected kidnappers in a gunfight and recovered firearms, with the late-night rescue operation carried out around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The victims were all abducted around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, while on their way to the children’s school.

“Sustained intelligence tracking and tactical pressure forced the kidnappers into a confrontation with operatives, leading to the successful rescue of the victims,” police sources disclosed.

“Security operatives are currently combing nearby areas for fleeing members of the kidnapping syndicate, some of whom are believed to have escaped with gunshot wounds.”

The quick operation, however, stands in contrast to over 30 schoolchildren and teachers held since mid-May raids in Oyo State’s Oriire Local Government Area (LGA), where bandits killed a teacher, beheaded another on video, and demand massive ransom plus Sharia law enforcement.

Public replies express skepticism about the rescue details and highlight perceived inequality, with X users criticising faster action for connected families while school victims remain captive after weeks.
