Rivers United FC are set to complete the signing of midfielder Blessed Iyamu, DAILY POST reports.

Iyamu is expected to put pen to paper with the Pride of Rivers in the coming days.

He was scouted by Rivers United following an impressive campaign with Kun Khalifat FC in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season.

Iyamu made 18 appearances and scored one goal for the Owerri-based club last term.

Rivers United are targeting reinforcements to challenge for the title and improve their continental performance.

Iyamu’s arrival is expected to boost the team’s attacking options.

Rivers United and Rangers will compete in the CAF Champions League next season.
