Nigerian singer and entrepreneur Mr Eazi and his wife, actress Temi Otedola, have revealed that they consulted nine doctors in different countries while preparing for the arrival of their first child.

The couple made this known during a recent episode of their podcast which started trending on Tuesday, where they spoke about their pregnancy journey and the preparations leading up to the birth of their unborn baby.

According to them, the consultations were necessary because they were uncertain about the country where they would eventually welcome their child.

Speaking in a viral video from the podcast, Mr Eazi explained that they sought multiple medical opinions to explore their options.

“Why exactly do we see nine doctors? Nine doctors because to give you options, not just that, because we didn’t know where we were going to be. Which country? We didn’t know which country we were going to decide on. I wanted Japan,” he said.

The singer added that he had considered having their baby in Japan and had even started researching Japanese names for the child.

Reacting to the idea, Temi jokingly rejected the suggestion.

“By the way, he’s also been looking at Japanese names and I’m like no, absolutely not,” she said.

The couple announced in May that they were expecting their first child after discovering the pregnancy during their honeymoon in Asia.

Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola got married in a private ceremony in Iceland in August 2025.
