DJ Dewik and Hypeman Best have emerged as two of the standout acts on the 2026 edition of Soundcity On Tour, following a journey that began with a chance discovery at the inaugural edition of the campus entertainment tour in 2023.
According to organisers, the duo first caught the attention of the tour’s executive producer, Adedeji Adeniji, during their debut performance together at Soundcity On Tour three years ago.
Despite having no established partnership or extensive experience performing as a team, their stage chemistry and ability to engage the audience reportedly convinced Adeniji that they had the potential for bigger stages.
Following that performance, creative development company, TASH Studios NG, signed the pair and began working with them to develop their craft. Over the next two years, they performed at major events across the country while refining their skills as entertainers.
Their growth has now earned them official roles as the DJ and hypeman for Soundcity On Tour 2026, a nationwide campus tour.
The tour, which is scheduled to visit 20 tertiary institutions across Nigeria, kicked off with stops at Pan-Atlantic University and Olabisi Onabanjo University, where the duo entertained students and set the tone for the rest of the tour.
Organisers said the performances at both campuses demonstrated the progress made by the pair since their first appearance on the platform in 2023.
With 18 campuses still left on the tour schedule, DJ Dewik and Hypeman Best are expected to play a key role in driving the energy and excitement at the events.
