Gbajabiamila has sued Adeniyi Adeyemi for N15bn over alleged defamation.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, has filed a defamation suit against the self-acclaimed Director-General of the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi.

The suit, instituted before a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), seeks substantial damages over alleged defamatory statements made against the Chief of Staff.

According to court documents, Gbajabiamila is demanding N10 billion in general damages, N5 billion in aggravated damages, and N200 million as the cost of the legal action.

He is also asking the court to compel Adeyemi to publish a full retraction and unreserved apology in five national newspapers.

The legal action comes amid ongoing investigations and court proceedings involving Adeyemi over allegations linked to the controversial PFIPC.
