Paris Saint-Germain forward, Ferran Torres, has said the winner of the 2026 Ballon d’Or must be from the Spain national team.
Torres himself is on the final 30-man nominee shortlist for the award.
The 26-year-old scored the winner for La Roja, as they beat Argentina in the final of this year’s World Cup.
He is one of six Spanish World Cup winners on the list, alongside 2024 winner Rodri and last year’s runner-up Lamine Yamal.
“I hope it will be a Spanish player to win the Ballon d’Or,” Torres said.
Torres also won LaLiga with Barcelona in May, before leaving the Camp Nou to sign for PSG in the summer.
