    Demonstrators protest outside Aurora police headquarters over student detentions

    Demonstrators, holding banners, gather outside the Aurora Police Department headquarters during the “Emergency Protest” was organized by local activists and the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) following a student-led walkout the previous day in Aurora, Illinois, United States on February 10, 2026. Protesters held signs reading “Expand the General Strike! ICE Out!” and “Stop ICE Now!” while waving Mexican flags. The demonstration was sparked by the detention of three East Aurora High School students during a February 9 walkout protesting federal immigration enforcement and the recent killing of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis.
