    Madueke on Eze

Arsenal winger Noni Madueke has hailed the performance of midfielder Eberechi Eze following the 4-0 win over Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup fourth round.

The Gunners returned to winning ways with a convincing victory over the Latics at the Emirates Stadium. Eze played a big part, providing assists for the opening two goals.

Eze started in central midfield against the League One outfit, but was brilliant with his movement into the final third and contributed towards the club making the fifth round.

Speaking after the match, Madueke said that Eze was unbelievable for the Gunners and he was really pleased for his compatriot.

Madueke said: “He was unbelievable today. He pulled all the strings from the middle and had a hand in all the goals. I’m really pleased for him.”

Eze had his first goal involvement for the club after 15 games and it should provide him with confidence for the crucial league matches coming up.

He could continue as an attacking midfielder against Wolverhampton Wanderers in midweek with Martin Odegaard doubtful to feature.

Odegaard suffered a knock to his knee against Brentford.
