Dr. Olajide Adediran, popularly called Jandor, who is the 2027 Lagos All Progressive Congress, APC Governorship aspirant, has reiterated his interest in contesting the 2027 governorship election in Lagos State.

Adediran made the declaration in a broadcast aired across multiple media platforms, where he reflected on the evolving political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections.

This comes as the APC commenced congresses to elect new party executives across the states in preparation for the next electoral cycle.

According to him, with the signing of the new Electoral Act 2026 by President Bola Tinubu and the successful conclusion of APC party congresses nationwide, the political process is naturally progressing toward the emergence of party candidates for the 2027 general elections.

Adeniran recalled publicly declaring his intention to contest the Lagos governorship election as early as October 2025, noting that the early declaration was a deliberate step aimed at stimulating constructive engagement on the future of governance and development in the state.

He stressed that his aspiration is anchored on years of experience as a student of governance, with a strong understanding of structure, systems, administration, and leadership, which he described as critical pillars for effective and sustainable governance.

Re-echoing a popular maxim often expressed by President Tinubu that “power is not served à la carte,” Adeniran stated that the President demonstrated this principle through his determined pursuit of leadership during the 2023 Nigerian presidential election.

He added that any serious aspirant must be courageous, bold, and willing to openly express a conviction to provide leadership and serve the people.

Adediran reaffirmed his commitment to engaging party members and the people of Lagos as the political process unfolds, with the shared goal of building a more progressive and prosperous state.
