Google has outlined five practical ways Nigerian entrepreneurs can use Gemini AI to build and scale their side hustles, from market research and branding to pricing and business automation.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Google has highlighted five ways Nigerian entrepreneurs can leverage its artificial intelligence platform, Gemini, to build, manage and grow their side hustles more efficiently.

In a guide titled “5 Ways to Build Your Side Hustle in Nigeria with Gemini,” the tech giant said AI is increasingly becoming an affordable business assistant, helping entrepreneurs reduce manual tasks and focus on growing their businesses.

According to Google, many Nigerians juggle multiple sources of income while managing customer inquiries, logistics, accounting and marketing on their own. The company said Gemini can help simplify these responsibilities through automation and AI-powered productivity tools.

    Turning Business Ideas into Action

Google said entrepreneurs can use the Gemini app to organise business ideas by creating digital notebooks that capture thoughts, links, files and reference materials in one place.

The AI platform can then structure these ideas into an organised business plan and, as the business grows, help users manage workflows, customer interactions and online business profiles from a central hub.

    Faster Market Research

The company also encouraged business owners to use Gemini’s Deep Research feature to better understand their markets.

According to Google, the tool can analyse competitors, identify customer trends and generate detailed reports by reviewing information from hundreds of online sources, enabling entrepreneurs to make informed business decisions in minutes instead of spending hours on research.

    Building a Strong Brand

Google noted that branding plays a critical role in attracting customers, particularly among Nigeria’s growing digital economy.

It said Gemini allows entrepreneurs to create professional-quality product visuals, marketing materials and promotional videos without the need for expensive design resources.

The platform can also integrate with applications such as Canva, while tools like Pomelli from Google Labs can help businesses develop brand guidelines and even build websites.

    Automating Daily Operations

To help entrepreneurs manage routine tasks, Google introduced Gemini Spark, an AI-powered automation tool that functions as a personal assistant.

The feature enables users to automate repetitive activities such as capturing customer enquiries from email or messaging platforms, updating client records, and organising business documents.

According to Google, Gemini Spark operates continuously in the background and is currently available to Google AI Ultra subscribers globally.

    Smarter Pricing Decisions

Google also recommended using Gemini to determine competitive pricing by analysing production costs, delivery expenses and operating charges.

The company said entrepreneurs can upload spreadsheets into the platform to identify business trends, calculate break-even points, evaluate different pricing models and receive personalised recommendations to improve profitability.

Google said these AI-powered capabilities are designed to help entrepreneurs make data-driven decisions while reducing the administrative burden associated with running a business.

The company encouraged Nigerian entrepreneurs looking to launch or expand their businesses to explore Gemini’s growing suite of AI tools to improve productivity, strengthen branding, automate operations and drive sustainable growth.
