The Southwest Arewa Community Renewed Hope Agenda for Asiwaju, popularly known as SWAC 4 ABAT AGAIN, has taken its mobilisation campaign for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election to Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State.
During a visit to the council secretariat, the pro-Tinubu political group met with the LCDA Executive Chairman, Hon. Adetola Adunni Abubakar, to discuss collaboration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Director-General of SWAC 4 ABAT AGAIN, Alhaji Shehu Usman Sampam, said the organisation was established to promote the Renewed Hope Agenda and mobilise members of the Arewa community across Nigeria’s six South-West states.
According to him, the group is building grassroots support in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo states, with the objective of securing bloc votes for Tinubu and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress in 2027.
Sampam commended Abubakar for what he described as notable achievements in infrastructure and human capital development during her first year in office.
He said the council chairman had continued the political and public-service legacy of her father, Hon. Chief Oyedele, whom he described as a forward-looking APC stalwart.
Responding, Abubakar said policies introduced under the Tinubu administration had helped to address revenue leakages and increase funding available for development projects.
She argued that the removal of the petrol subsidy had enabled the government to redirect resources previously lost through alleged leakages into infrastructure and economic programmes.
According to her, increased federal allocations have also strengthened the capacity of local governments to execute projects that directly affect residents.
The council chairman praised SWAC 4 ABAT AGAIN for its grassroots mobilisation efforts and sustained promotion of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda among Arewa communities in the South-West.
Abubakar said she had followed the group’s activities in recent months and was impressed by its commitment to mobilising support for the President and the APC.
She subsequently declared her support for the organisation and expressed readiness to partner with it in mobilising voters for Tinubu’s re-election and the APC’s campaign in the 2027 general elections.
The meeting ended with the unveiling of the group’s green-and-white branded T-shirt and fez cap, which were presented to the council chairman as a symbol of the new partnership.
SWAC 4 ABAT AGAIN said the Agboyi-Ketu visit formed part of its broader campaign to engage political leaders, community stakeholders and Arewa residents across the South-West ahead of the elections.
