FIFA have reportedly sanctioned three members of Egypt’s team following incidents during their World Cup clash against Argentina.
Hossam Hassan and Ibrahim Hassan have each received three-match suspensions, while Ziko has been handed a five-match ban.
The incidents happened during the encounter between Egypt and Argentina, although the specific charges against the three men have yet to be disclosed.
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) is reportedly seeking clarification from FIFA before deciding whether to appeal the sanctions.
The suspensions are a setback for the Egyptian team as the federation awaits further details from football’s world governing body.
