Nigerian-borne Briton body builder, Samson Dauda, has won the 2024 Mr. Olympia, an annual bodybuilding competition title Saturday night.

The competition and award are sanctioned by the IFBB Professional League.

The Nigerian made history, grabbing the 60th edition which held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nevada, US.

To win the crown, Dauda, the first bodybuilder of Nigerian descent to grab the $600,000 (about N900m), crown brushed aside stiff competitions from Hadi Choopan and champion Derek Lunsford.

Whereas Choopan emerged first runner-up, Lunsford, the 2023 champion came second runner-up.

In his previous attempt in 2023, Dauda came third, coming strong to pick the title a year later, alongside a championship belt and trophy.
