The African Action Congress in collaboration with the Take It Back Movement, is carrying out a “Voter Card Registration” in selected communities across 21 local government areas of Anambra State as part of its commitment to deepen democratic participation through active civic engagement.

The exercise kicked off at Idemili North on Friday, with the party leadership engaging community stakeholders on the need to obtain their Permanent Voter’s Card and participate in electoral processes.

Speaking during the campaign, the Deputy National Chairperson, AAC, Chioma Ifemeludike, urged all eligible citizens, especially young people, to take advantage of the opportunity to register and become active participants in shaping the future of their communities.

Ifemeludike said the PVC remains a powerful tool for change, calling on residents to come out in their numbers, get registered, and join the AAC in building the Nigeria we all deserve.

She said, “The ‘Take It Back Movement’, in collaboration with the African Action Congress, is carrying out a Voters Card Registration Campaign. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to deepen democratic participation and empower citizens through active civic engagement.

“The Permanent Voter’s Card remains a powerful tool for change, and we urge all eligible citizens, especially young people, to take advantage of this opportunity to register and become active participants in shaping the future of our communities.

“We believe that true change begins when the people are counted and their voices are heard. This campaign is not just about registration—it is about awakening civic responsibility and strengthening the collective power of the people.

“We therefore called on residents of Idemili North and its environs to come out in their numbers, get registered, and join us in building the Nigeria we all deserve. No PVC, No Vote.”

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, voter registration is an exercise for the registration of Nigerian citizens who turned 18 years of age and those who are eligible but for any number of reasons could not register after the last Voter Registration exercise.

It is most times referred to as  Continuous Voter Registration
