Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie has returned to full training ahead of the Premier League clash against Everton at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow.
The Ecuador international was struggling with a groin issue earlier this campaign but he managed to fully recover during the international break.
However, he sustained another setback on his return. The left-back has been nursing an ankle issue in recent weeks, but he is now deemed fully fit.
Riccardo Calafiori has been the undisputed left-back for the Gunners this campaign, but his workload needs to be managed going forward to prevent injuries.
Hincapie could play more in the coming games as part of the rotation. He may not start against Everton tomorrow, but could do so at Fleetwood Town.
The Gunners take on the League Two outfit in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, where wholesale changes are expected.
The short term priority for the Gunners will be on beating Everton in the league to keep up the pressure on current leaders Manchester City.
