This came amid reactions to new regulatory guidelines by the Central Bank of Nigeria on foreign subsidiaries of banks. President Bola Tinubu has appointed Arinola Ogbara-Banjoko as a Non-Executive Director to represent Lagos State on the Board of the Nigeria Commodity Exchange (NGX), under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment. The Enugu State Ministry of Transport has denied reports of a road crash resulting in an inferno that allegedly claimed over 50 lives at the Ugwu Onyeama axis of the Enugu–Onitsha Expressway, describing such reports as totally false and misleading.
