The All Progressives Congress has released its final list of cleared aspirants for the Rivers State House of Assembly primary election scheduled for Wednesday. In the list, no loyalist of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, was cleared. Nigeria’s former military Head of State, Yakubu Gowon, has revealed how officers he trusted and relied upon to transform the country eventually turned against him and overthrew his government in July 1975. The US Trade and Development Agency has unveiled plans to support the deployment of about 1,500 mobile communications base stations across Nigeria, Benin, Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire to improve internet access in underserved communities.
