Boko Haram Terrorists has attacked Chibok Community and set houses ablaze.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that suspected members of Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province on Thursday evening reportedly attacked Kautikari village in Chibok Local Government Area, forcing residents to flee into nearby bushes for safety.

Residents escaping the community told reporters that the insurgents were shooting sporadically while setting homes and other buildings on fire.

A local security operative from the area, who spoke anonymously, confirmed the attack, saying the community came under assault at about 6:50 p.m.

“Yes, our community of Kautikari is under Boko Haram attack. I just received the distress call this Thursday evening,” the source said.

“We cannot ascertain casualties for now because the attackers are still wreaking havoc while residents scramble for safety.”

The latest assault comes barely weeks after terrorists invaded the same community on March 30, 2026, killing several residents, including the commander of local hunters, Mallam Bumto, who had returned from Lagos State a day before the attack.

The insurgents also reportedly killed Johanna Peter, whose wedding was scheduled to take place the following day at a church in Kautikari, alongside other residents.

That earlier attack led to widespread displacement, destruction of property, and looting of food items and livestock, forcing many residents to abandon the community before recently returning.

As of the time of filing this report, authorities were yet to release an official casualty figure from Thursday’s renewed attack.
