    Chelle Names Super Eagles Squads For Unity Cup, Poland And Portugal Friendlies

    Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has released his squads for the 2026 Unity Cup tournament and the international friendly matches against Poland and Portugal scheduled for next month.

    For the Unity Cup tournament taking place at Charlton Athletic Stadium, The Valley, between May 26 and 30, Chelle invited 27 players including captain Wilfred Ndidi, Francis Uzoho, Arthur Okonkwo, Bruno Onyemaechi, Emmanuel Fernandez, Chibuike Nwaiwu, Igoh Ogbu, Obinna Igboke, Elias Ochobi, Chibueze Oputa, Raphael Onyedika, Tochukwu Nnadi, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Alhassan Yusuf, Aderemi Adeoye, Samson Tijani, Ayobami Junior, Tosin Oyedokun, Moses Simon, Akor Adams, Philip Otele, Owen Oseni, Zadok Abu Yohanna, Terem Moffi, Rafiu Durosinmi and Femi Azeez.

    Home-based players Michael Atata, Obinna Igboke, Elias Ochobi, Chibueze Oputa, Aderemi Adeoye, Ayobami Junior and Tosin Oyedokun were also included in the squad.

    Nigeria will face Zimbabwe in the semi-final on May 26, while Jamaica and India will clash in the other semi-final on May 27. Winners of both games will meet in the final.

    For the friendly matches against Poland and Portugal, Chelle invited 24 players including Maduka Okoye, Arthur Okonkwo, Francis Uzoho, Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemaechi, Zaidu Sanusi, Igoh Ogbu, Emmanuel Fernandez, Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka, Wilfred Ndidi, Raphael Onyedika, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Tochukwu Nnadi, Alhassan Yusuf, Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Paul Onuachu, Akor Adams, Victor Osimhen and Terem Moffi.

    The Super Eagles will play Poland in Warsaw on June 3 before taking on Portugal in Leiria on June 10.
