Chelsea are preparing a fresh approach for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite at the end of the campaign, according to journalist Simon Phillips.
The Blues are expected to bolster their central defensive department during the summer transfer window, and have already been linked with numerous names.
Branthwaite has now re-emerged as a potential target for the west London giants amid his impressive run of form for the Merseyside outfit.
The 23-year-old has spent most of the campaign on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, but he has been brilliant since his comeback this year.
Branthwaite is primarily a central defender, but he has been utilised on the left side of the backline. He recently impressed against Manchester United.
The defender comfortably handled the threat of Amad Diallo. The latter won just three duels out of eight contested and was subbed off early.
Everton are likely to demand at least £60m for his services despite him being on the sidelines with a lengthy injury during the season.
