Chelsea could make a surprise move for Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford this summer.
The Englishman spent last season on loan with Barcelona, where he scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists from 49 appearances.
The Blaugrana did not exercise the option to buy him for £26 million, but they could return for him later in the summer.
A number of Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation, and it seems Chelsea are one of them exploring a possible move.
The Blues have had a good working relationship with United.
They sold Mason Mount to the Red Devils in 2023 before securing Jadon Sancho on a season-long loan deal for the 2024/25 season.
Last summer, Alejandro Garnacho moved from United to the Blues. Hence, it won’t be a surprise if Chelsea make an offer for Rashford.
Rashford has a release clause worth £40m for European clubs this summer. There is an exception for Manchester City and Liverpool.
The 28-year-old has not ruled out joining a new club if Barcelona don’t re-enter negotiations to secure his services in the coming weeks.
