    David Adesanya, NTA DG, Tosin Dokpesi Others Bag Nollywood Excellence Awards

    The Managing Director of Elites Logistics Group of Companies, Otunba David Adesanya, the Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority, Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos and the Managing Director of African Independent Television Mrs. Oluwatosin Dokpesi were some of the awardees as the Actors Guild of Nigeria, FCT Chapter hosted the maiden edition of the Nollywood Awards at a Gala Night that was dotted with pomp and pageantry. 

    Otunba David Adesanya bagged the Nollywood most dynamic and innovative CEO in renewable energy and job creation Award, the DG of NTA took home the Nollywood most Supportive media Executive of the year Award, while Dokpesi was honoured with the Nollywood most creative and innovative media Executive of the year Award.

    Others honoured include Engr. Uzo Joseph, Mokriss Media Concept, Dr. Nwangwa Uzonna, Mrs. Nseabasi Emmanuel Edokpayi, Dr. Uzo Udegbunam Chioma, Dr. Robert Onyemaechi Uzu, Hon. Obika Joshua Chinedu and the SDGs Short Film Challenge as the most innovative film challenge of the year among others.

    The Actors Gala Night and Awards, which held at the Bolingo Xperia Hotel in Abuja was of special significance for the Guild, serving as a culmination of the year’s achievements and a stage to spotlight the extraordinary talents within the Nigerian film industry. The event also feature the unveiling of the AGN Actors Compendium and Shorts Film; a testament to the continuous innovation and creativity within the vibrant industry.

    According to the Mayor of AGN, FCT Chapter, Ugochukwu Ohuonu (aka 20 mouths), the event was an evening of excellence and achievement in the vibrant world of Nigerian cinema.

    “We are delighted to honour visionary leaders whose innovative approaches have significantly shaped the industry’s narrative on the global stage with prestigious Nollywood Awards.” Ugochukwu stated.

    He added that the Gala Night and Awards was also a moment to recognize and honour distinguished stakeholders whose invaluable contributions have propelled the Nigerian film industry to new heights, while acknowledging individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment to the growth of the Nigerian Film Industry.
