The Enugu State Government has announced the resumption of the Continuous Survey Revalidation and Digitisation Exercise under the ongoing Survey Records Digitisation Programme.

The exercise, which will run until the end of August 2026, is a key component of the state’s ongoing digital transformation of its Land and Survey Records System.

According to the state government, the objective is to establish a fully digital, transparent and reliable land administration framework in Enugu State.

The exercise also forms part of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s comprehensive agenda for the development of the state.

The government called for the participation of all landowners, estate developers, surveyors and property owners, directing them to submit their Survey Plans, Layout Approvals and other related land documents for verification and revalidation.

The documents will also be used for Digital Identity and Geospatial Mapping, as well as the issuance of Digital Land Identity Cards.

The government said the exercise is being conducted at five designated centres across the state.

The centres are the Enugu State Geographic Information System Service (ENGIS) headquarters, located at No. 4 Chisomoi Ukpaka Close, Ebe-ano Estate, Independence Layout, Enugu; Nsukka Local Government Area Secretariat; Enugu State Ministry of Housing; Enugu State Housing Development Corporation; and the Office of the Surveyor-General, Enugu.

The state government reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring an error-free land administration system as part of efforts to improve the management, accessibility and reliability of land and survey records in the state.

The announcement was made by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of ENGIS, Chiwetalu Nwatu.
