FairMoney has surpassed 30 million registered users in Nigeria.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that FairMoney Microfinance Bank has surpassed 30 million registered users in Nigeria, marking a significant milestone in the digital financial institution’s expansion across the country.
The Central Bank of Nigeria-licensed microfinance bank announced the milestone on Thursday, September 3, 2026, saying it reflected the growing adoption of technology-enabled financial services among Nigerian individuals and businesses.
FairMoney provides access to digital banking services, including savings, money transfers, bill payments, cards, credit and asset financing through its technology platform.
The bank said reaching more than 30 million registered users demonstrated how technology could help extend formal financial services to Nigerians who face barriers such as extensive documentation, limited access to physical bank branches and insufficient formal credit histories.
Through the FairMoney mobile application, customers can open and manage accounts, save money, pay bills, transfer funds and use cards. Eligible customers can also access credit and asset-financing services directly from their mobile devices.
FairMoney said integrating multiple services on one platform was helping more Nigerians participate in the formal financial system and manage their everyday financial needs conveniently.
The institution also provides financial services to merchants and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises through FairMoney Business.
Business customers can access accounts, payments and other financial solutions designed to support their daily operations and growth.
FairMoney added that its automated digital platform processes tens of thousands of loan applications daily, enabling eligible customers to access formal credit without extensive paperwork or visits to physical branches.
Speaking on the milestone, Managing Director of FairMoney Microfinance Bank, Henry Obiekea, said the achievement reflected the confidence Nigerians had placed in the institution.
“Surpassing 30 million registered users is an important milestone for FairMoney, but its greatest significance is the trust millions of Nigerians have placed in us to support their everyday financial lives,” Obiekea said.

FairMoney operates as a CBN-licensed microfinance bank, while eligible customer deposits are insured by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
The bank said it also maintains measures to protect customer information and operates in accordance with applicable regulatory and data-protection requirements, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
With more than 30 million registered users, FairMoney said it remains committed to expanding access to secure, inclusive and innovative financial services in Nigeria.
