Digital solutions company Globacom, in partnership with global device manufacturer Samsung, has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S26 series in Lagos, opening an exclusive pre-order window for subscribers on the Glo network.

The unveiling, held at Globacom’s corporate headquarters in Victoria Island recently, brought together industry stakeholders, high-net-worth customers and members of the media to witness the debut of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone in the Nigerian market.

As part of the launch offer, Globacom announced that customers who purchase the Galaxy S26 at any Gloworld outlet nationwide will receive 18GB of free data under the Glo Smartphone Festival Data Plan, distributed as 3GB monthly for six months.

Buyers will also get a Platinum Number eSIM bundled with additional monthly data benefits.

The companies said the collaboration is designed to combine premium mobile technology with connectivity incentives aimed at delivering greater value to Nigerian consumers.

Speaking at the event, Samsung’s Product Manager for Sellout Platinum, Solomon Osibeluwo, described Globacom as the first partner to host a masterclass session for the device, attributing the development to the long-standing relationship between both companies.

He said the Galaxy S26 series introduces enhanced features intended to improve users’ communication and digital experiences, adding that Samsung would continue to strengthen its partnership with the telecom operator.

“The S26 series comes with amazing features that will enrich the calling and browsing experience of Nigerians, alongside several utility innovations,” Osibeluwo said.

Globacom’s Head of Gloworld, Mohamed Rabie, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to pairing advanced technology with practical customer benefits.

“At Globacom, we believe premium technology should come with premium value, and that is exactly what we are offering,” Rabie said. “We are proud to be the first partner to provide both masterclass sessions and pre-order benefits for customers.”

He noted that the new device targets users seeking a combination of refined design, performance and seamless connectivity, encouraging customers to visit Gloworld outlets nationwide to experience the smartphone and place pre-orders.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy S26 series features upgraded processing speed, advanced camera capabilities, improved battery performance and enhanced privacy protection supported by artificial intelligence-driven functionalities. The device also incorporates a durable aluminium build and immersive display technology designed for high-performance usage.

In addition to the smartphone launch, Samsung introduced the Buds 4 series wireless earbuds, which feature advanced noise cancellation and enhanced audio performance aimed at improving calls and media consumption in noisy environments.

The company also highlighted its Samsung Care+ programme, which offers subsidised repair coverage for registered devices within the first year of purchase, providing protection against accidental damage.

Pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 began immediately after the unveiling, with customers purchasing through Globacom eligible for additional promotional gifts, bundled accessories and prize offers.

Both companies expressed confidence that the new lineup would strengthen their presence in Nigeria’s competitive premium smartphone segment while expanding access to innovative mobile technology for consumers.
