A 37-year-old Niger State man, Isah Usman, has been arrested for the rape of three boys whose ages are 13, 14, and 15 years.
Our correspondent gathered that the act was carried out in his room several times.
The incident, it was also learnt happened on April 23 following which Usman, of Angwan Biri Area and who sells honey was accused of forcefully having unnatural carnal knowledge of the young boys after which he would give them N500 each and some honey, while threatening to kill them if they exposed the act to anybody.
Arewa PUNCH further gathered that the victims have been taken to the Police Clinic in Minna for medical examination where the allegation was confirmed after indicating deep penetration, following which Usman was arrested.
It was again learnt that the case has been transferred to the Niger State Criminal Investigation Department Minna for further investigations.
The Niger State Police Command Spokesman,Wasiu Abiodun, while confirming the arrest in a statement that he shared with Arewa PUNCH, disclosed that the suspect would be charged to the court for diligent prosecution.
The Police PRO narrated, “On 23rd April 2026 at about 3:30p.m, a report received indicated that one Isah Usman 37 years of age, and of Angwan Biri Area who sells honey, has been forcefully having unnatural carnal knowledge of young boys aged 15 years, 13years and 14years severally in his room.
“Further findings revealed that the suspect usually threatens them after the act and induces them with the sum of N500 each and some honey.
“He was immediately arrested by Police operatives attached to Bosso Div.
“The victims were taken to Police Clinic Minna for medical examinations, which confirmed the allegation and indicated penetration.
“The suspect also confessed to the act. He has been transferred to SCID Minna for further investigations, after which he will be charged to court for prosecution,” Abiodun said.
