Nollywood actress Ini Dima-Okojie has announced that she and her husband are expecting their first child.

The actress shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, alongside a video, expressing gratitude to God and describing the pregnancy as a “miracle” and a “divine gift.”

“There are moments when words feel too small for what God has done. This is one of those moments

“In quiet ways, in unseen ways, God has been writing a story only He could tell… a story of grace, of love, of perfect timing,” she wrote.

She added, “God has been so kind, so faithful, so intentional. And now, my heart is holding a love I have never known before. I get to be a mother.”

Dima-Okojie described the journey into motherhood as a privilege, noting that the experience has already begun to transform her life.

“My body is changing, my heart is expanding, and my life will never be the same again and I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she said.

The announcement has drawn congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, many of whom have celebrated the actress as she enters a new phase of life.

The development is particularly significant given that the actress had previously opened up in 2020 about being diagnosed with uterine fibroids in 2017.

Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths that develop in or around the uterus, affecting many women of reproductive age.

While some women experience no symptoms, others may face heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, frequent urination, and, in some cases, fertility challenges.

Treatment options vary depending on the severity and may include medication, non-invasive procedures, or surgery.
