    Williams to Liverpool?

Liverpool are prepared to spend €95 million to sign Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao this summer, according to El Nacional.

The Merseyside giants are preparing for another busy summer transfer window and reports claim that Mohamed Salah could be on his way out.

Salah has had a strained relationship with manager Arne Slot and he is widely expected to be sold by the Reds when the transfer window reopens.

Several Saudi Pro League clubs have expressed an interest and the Egypt international is likely to move to the Middle East ahead of next season.

Amidst this, the Reds have earmarked Williams as his replacement and are willing to pay the €95m release clause in his Athletic contract.

The 23-year-old has had a mixed campaign at his boyhood club and he has managed only 10 goal contributions in all competitions thus far.

Williams has had a season disrupted fitness concerns. Despite this, the Reds seem convinced that he would be a good successor for Salah.
