Manchester United are reportedly serious about signing Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali during the next transfer window.

The Red Devils are expected to bolster their midfield department with Casemiro expected to leave when his contract expires on June 30.

They have already been linked with several marquee names and Fussball News claim that Tonali has emerged as a serious target for the club.

Contact has already been established with the player’s representatives, and Tonali is also open to the prospect of joining the Mancunian giants.

United are yet to open formal talks with the Magpies for the player, but they face a difficult challenge to prise him away from the Tyneside outfit.

Newcastle demanded a hefty £130 million to sanction Alexander Isak‘s sale last summer and could set a similar fee to part ways with the ex-AC Milan man.

Bruno Guimaraes has also been linked with a move away from the Magpies, but the club are unlikely to entertain losing both midfielders in one window.
