The widow of late singer, Mohbad, Omowunmi Aloba, has expressed deep love and commitment to their son, Liam, in a heartfelt birthday message.

In a post shared online, she described the child as her “heartbeat” and reaffirmed her dedication to his well-being.

“Happy birthday to my heartbeat, you mean the world to me Eyinimofeoluwa and I’m so proud to be your parent. I’d walk through fire, cross oceans and do absolutely anything to make sure you are safe and happy.

“I will always be your biggest cheerleader and your safest harbour. I live for your smile and I would do anything to protect you. Happy birthday to the best son I could ever ask for. Love you with all my heart my Lily,” she wrote.

PUNCH Online had reported that a Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting in Ikorodu had ordered a DNA test to determine the paternity of Liam Aloba, the only child of the late singer.

Magistrate Adefisoye Sonuga gave the order while ruling on an application filed by the singer’s father, Joseph Aloba, who is seeking to establish whether the child is his late son’s biological offspring.

Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Aloba, died in September 2023 under controversial circumstances, sparking nationwide outrage and multiple legal disputes over his estate, royalties and paternity.

His son, Liam, was born in April 2023, months before his death, and the paternity dispute has since drawn widespread public attention.

The legal representatives of the Aloba family have also raised concerns over the capacity of some laboratories selected for the ongoing DNA test.
