    Nigerian Army confirms rescue of 360 captives from terrorists’ enclaves in Borno (Video)

    The Nigerian Army has confirmed the rescue of 360 kidnapped victims held by terrorists in Borno state.

    Acting Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI, OPHK, Lt-Col Haruna Sani disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.

    Sani stated that the abductees were held captive by terrorists in a Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad, JAS, enclave located deep within the Mandara Mountains in Gwoza Local Government Area of of the state.

    According to him, the captives, comprising men, women and children, were rescued during what he described as one of the most significant hostage rescue operations conducted in the North-East theatre in recent times.

    Recall that Gwoza in Borno state has frequently been attacked by terrorists, who specialize in kidnapping innocent citizens, including women and children.
