Palm Syrup FC delivered a ruthless attacking display to thrash 7th Wonders FA 7-1 in matchday two of the 2026 Akwa Ibom State FA Cup, played on Monday, 13 April at the Uyo Township Stadium.

The NLO side ran riot in a one-sided encounter, thrilling fans with a flood of goals to secure their place in the semi-finals.

Palm Syrup opened the scoring as early as the fourth minute when Christian Otu finished off a well-worked team move. Kemfon Davidson doubled the lead in the 15th minute with a fine free-kick.

7th Wonders pulled one back through Omini Caleb, but the response only sparked more attacking intent from Palm Syrup, who dominated proceedings with pace and precision.

Kemfon Davidson grabbed his second in the 42nd minute, calmly lobbing the onrushing goalkeeper to make it 3-1. Moments later, Elisha Jonah capped off an impressive first-half display by tapping in the fourth goal just before the break.

Palm Syrup continued from where they stopped in the second half, with Nkebeteno Udosen scoring the fifth goal in the 46th minute.

Substitutes Samuel Anthony and Ediongseyene Otono added further goals to complete an emphatic 7-1 victory.

With this result, Palm Syrup FC will face Godswill Akpabio United FC in the semi-finals. In the other semi-final fixture, Heaven’s Race Academy will take on Akwa United FC.

The first semi-final between Akwa United and Heaven’s Race will take place on Sunday, 19 April 2026, while the second semi-final is scheduled for Monday, 20 April 2026. Both matches will kick off at 4pm at the Uyo Township Stadium.

So far, this year’s Akwa Ibom State FA Cup has produced 12 goals in two matches, setting the stage for more excitement as the competition progresses.
