PalmPay has partnered AfriGO to allow users request Nigeria’s domestic payment card directly through the PalmPay mobile app, expanding access to card-based services within its digital ecosystem.

The integration enables customers initiate AfriGO card applications inside the app, eliminating the need for separate banking channels.

By embedding the feature into a wallet already widely used for transfers and bill payments, PalmPay strengthens its role in Nigeria’s evolving digital payments landscape.

AfriGO, Nigeria’s national domestic card scheme was introduced to support local payment infrastructure, reduce transaction costs and promote financial inclusion.

Through PalmPay’s extensive agent network and customer support centers, users can also receive offline assistance, combining digital access with physical support.

The collaboration aligns with broader efforts to deepen financial inclusion and strengthen Nigeria’s domestic payment system.

By simplifying access to locally issued cards, both companies aim to accelerate participation in the country’s growing digital economy.
