Paris Saint-Germain claimed a huge 4-2 victory over Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League, delivering an impressive performance to secure a memorable away win.
PSG made a flying start, with Désiré Doué opening the scoring in the 13th minute before Ousmane Dembélé doubled the advantage just two minutes later. Vitinha added a third goal in the 32nd minute, putting the visitors in a commanding position.
Manchester City responded after the break through Erling Haaland, who found the net in the 53rd and 75th minutes to give the hosts hope of a comeback.
However, PSG maintained their attacking threat and secured the victory with another goal from Maghnes Akliouche in the 63rd minute, completing an impressive performance against one of Europe’s strongest sides.
The result represents a significant statement from PSG, who demonstrated their attacking quality and ability to compete at the highest level of European football.
For Manchester City, the defeat will be a disappointment, particularly after Haaland’s brace offered hope of a response. Pep Guardiola’s side will need to improve defensively as they look to bounce back from the setback.
PSG, meanwhile, will take confidence from the result as they continue their Champions League campaign.
