    German youngster wanted by Brighton

Brighton and Hove Albion are monitoring the progress of 19-year-old winger Said El Mala, with the FC Koln starlet set to move to the Premier League in a deal worth around £20 million. It is understood that the 6 foot 2 forward is keen on a move to England.

Since making his first-team debut in 2024, he has played 22 times for the club’s first-team in the league and returned an impressive 7 goals already. Also, appearances for Germany’s under-18, under-19 and under-21 side have since followed.

It is believed that Borussia Dortmund are also in the race for the player, but Brighton are said to be in pole position as manager Fabian Hurzeler has called upon his connections to interact with the youngster, who has just 2 years remaining on his current deal.

El Mala is hopeful that eventual appearances for Germany’s national team will soon follow, and that Premier League football will improve his chances.

A deal is expected to be concluded by the end of the current deal, as Brighton prepare their summer transfer window targets.
