The Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has revalidated his membership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance by participating in the party’s ongoing electronic membership registration exercise, which commenced on March 1 across the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

Soludo, who completed his registration alongside his wife, Nonye Soludo, on Monday, expressed excitement over the exercise, noting that it aligns with provisions of the Electoral Act.

In a post on his Facebook page on Monday, the governor described the digital transformation of the party’s membership process as a game-changer that sets APGA apart as a pioneer in Nigerian politics.

He said, “I am proud to announce that APGA has officially recommenced its membership registration and revalidation exercise, in line with the Electoral Act.

“My wife, Dr Nonye, and I led by example by being among the first to undergo the process as we revalidated our membership of the foremost progressive party in Nigeria.

“This digital transformation is a game-changer, setting APGA apart as a pioneer in Nigerian politics. We are not just updating our records; we are building a robust and credible party structure.

“With National Identification Number integration, as stipulated by the new Electoral Act, we are ensuring the integrity of our membership database.

“I urge all APGA members to take advantage of this opportunity to cement their place in our party and encourage new members to join the movement. The registration and revalidation process is seamless, and we have simplified it so much that no one will be left behind.”

PUNCH Online had earlier reported that APGA invited all stakeholders, supporters and members, both old and new, to participate in the ongoing electronic registration exercise nationwide.

Speaking during a press briefing at the party’s zonal headquarters in Awka on Friday, the National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, said the exercise, being conducted in all wards nationwide, began on March 1, 2026, and is taking place simultaneously across all 8,809 electoral wards in Nigeria.

Opara said the initiative is aimed at modernising the party’s database, ensuring data integrity and fostering inclusivity, adding that participants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid National Identification Number to complete the process.

According to him, the party is targeting over two million new and revalidated members through the drive.

He said, “The All Progressives Grand Alliance is proud to announce the commencement of our Continuous Electronic Membership Registration Exercise. This nationwide initiative began on March 1, 2026, and is taking place simultaneously across all 8,809 electoral wards in Nigeria.

“Existing members are expected to validate their membership, while new and intending members are encouraged to register and join the party. Participants must be 18 years or older and possess a valid NIN to complete the registration process.”
