Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc has announced the commencement of a closed period ahead of the release of its half-year audited financial statements for the period ending June 30, 2026.

In a notice filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on Thursday, the financial services group stated that the closed period will take effect from June 1, 2026, and remain in force until 24 hours after the publication of its half-year audited financial statements.

During the closed period, directors, senior executives and other insiders of the company are prohibited from trading in the shares of Stanbic IBTC Holdings in compliance with NGX regulations and the company’s internal personal account trading policy.

The company said the restriction is aimed at preventing the misuse of price-sensitive information ahead of the release of its financial results.

Stanbic IBTC also disclosed that its Board of Directors is scheduled to meet on Friday, July 31, 2026, to review and approve the group’s audited financial statements for the six months ended June 30, 2026.

In addition to considering the half-year earnings report, the board will deliberate on a proposed interim dividend for shareholders.

The announcement signals that investors may receive an interim payout subject to board approval and subsequent regulatory requirements.

Market participants will closely monitor the upcoming results for insights into the performance of Stanbic IBTC’s key business segments, including banking, asset management, pension administration, stockbroking and insurance services.

As one of Nigeria’s leading financial services groups, Stanbic IBTC remains a significant dividend-paying stock on the Nigerian Exchange.

The planned board meeting and dividend consideration are expected to attract investor attention as shareholders position ahead of the company’s earnings release.

The company noted that all insiders have been formally notified of the trading restrictions and are expected to comply fully with the provisions of the NGX Rulebook throughout the closed period.
