Gospel singer Steve Crown and his wife, Ruth Thomas, have welcomed their first child.

The singer announced the birth on Instagram on Saturday, sharing a video of himself and his wife dressed in white, with Ruth visibly pregnant.

Expressing gratitude to God, Steve Crown described the arrival of their baby as a blessing worth celebrating.

“Some blessings cannot be explained, they can only be celebrated. Thank You, Jesus, for all You have done. Thank You Jesus for the gift of our baby,” he wrote.

He also prayed for others hoping for a similar testimony.

“A new chapter, a new blessing, a new reason to thank God every day. May God bless everyone that desires this beautiful testimony. Amen,” he added.

The announcement attracted congratulatory messages from fans, colleagues and well-wishers, many of whom flooded the comment section to celebrate with the couple.

Steve Crown and Ruth got married on April 26, 2025, after announcing their engagement earlier that month.

At the time, the gospel artiste shared news of the engagement on social media, describing their union as one ordained by God.

Ruth, an interior decorator and event planner, exchanged vows with the ‘You Are Great’ singer in a church ceremony attended by family members, friends and fellow gospel artistes.
