Digital creator and popular TikToker,  Ralph Georges, has urged young people, particularly in the Caribbean and the diaspora, to take advantage of opportunities in the digital economy while staying connected to their cultural roots.

According to a statement made available to PUNCH Online on Tuesday, Georges said social media platforms have created a new pathway for young entrepreneurs and content creators to build global communities without abandoning their heritage.

“Today, the internet allows us to connect with the world without losing who we are. Young people should use digital platforms to share their talents, support each other, and build something meaningful.

“For many people, this is not just entertainment. It’s a digital family where people come together, laugh, learn and support each other,” Georges explained.

Beyond entertainment, Georges said he uses the platform to support emerging creators and small businesses by giving them visibility during his livestreams.

“I try to give people visibility. Many creators, small business owners and everyday people join the live sessions to share their stories and grow their platforms. When we support each other, everyone wins,” he said.

According to George, the livestream sessions also provide emotional support through humour, open conversations and encouragement.

“Sometimes people come to the live because they need to laugh after a hard day. If we can help people feel better, even for a moment, that’s powerful,” Georges noted.

He added that he has occasionally used the platform to provide financial support to individuals facing difficult situations, further strengthening the sense of community among his followers.

Despite living abroad, Georges said promoting Haitian culture remains central to his mission.

“No matter where I go, I carry Haiti with me. Our culture, our history, our resilience — these are things the world should know about,” he said.

He encouraged young creators across the Caribbean and beyond to use social media responsibly to build positive communities and opportunities.

“The digital world is open to everyone. If you have a voice, use it to inspire, to uplift and to bring people together,” Georges said.

Born on June 11, 1996, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Georges has grown into a recognised voice within the Haitian digital community through his engaging livestreams on TikTok.

Now based in Cancún, Mexico, he has built a diverse and borderless online audience through his TikTok account @ralphmyleegeorges2, where he hosts nightly livestream sessions that attract viewers from different countries.

His growing influence was recently highlighted when more than 140,000 viewers joined one of his livestream sessions, reflecting the rapid expansion of his global following.
