United Capital Plc has declared an interim dividend of 30 kobo per ordinary share for the six months ended June 30, 2026, following its strong half-year financial performance.
The dividend, which is subject to applicable withholding tax and shareholder approval, will be paid to shareholders whose names appeared in the company’s register of members at the close of business on Monday, July 27, 2026.
According to the company’s corporate action announcement, the register of shareholders will be closed from Tuesday, July 28, 2026, to Wednesday, July 29, 2026, to determine shareholders eligible for the interim dividend.
Qualified shareholders who have completed the e-dividend registration process and mandated the company’s registrar to credit their bank accounts directly will receive their dividend electronically on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
United Capital advised shareholders with outstanding dividend warrants or unclaimed share certificates to complete the e-dividend registration process or contact the company’s registrar to facilitate payment.
The registrar handling the dividend payment is Africa Prudential Plc.
The dividend declaration follows the investment banking group’s strong financial performance in the first half of 2026.
United Capital recently reported a 77 percent increase in profit after tax to N21.10 billion, driven by growth in investment income, trading activities and fee-based earnings.
The interim dividend reinforces the company’s track record of returning value to shareholders while maintaining its growth strategy across investment banking, asset management, trusteeship and consumer finance businesses.
Shareholders who qualified as of July 27 and have fulfilled the e-dividend requirements are expected to receive the dividend directly into their nominated bank accounts on the scheduled payment date of July 30, 2026.
