A former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has boasted of securing a massive vote and decisive victory in the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial District election.
Bello stated this during an interview on Politics Sunday, a programme on TVC, while expressing confidence in his chances ahead of the election.
Asked whether he could defeat the incumbent senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, whom the interviewer described as a popular opponent, Bello said that the election would determine his political standing.
He said, “The result will speak for itself.”
When asked if he remained popular enough to retain his nickname, the “White Lion,” the former governor replied, “Let the day come and go.”
Pressed on what the election day would bring, Bello declared, “Massive vote. Decisive victory.”
He subsequently clarified that the anticipated victory would be for himself and the All Progressives Congress.
Bello, who governed Kogi State from 2016 to 2024, is seeking to return to elective office by representing Kogi Central in the Senate in 2027.
