The Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee, NWC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is currently in a closed-door meeting with the Board of Trustees, BoT, led by Adolphus Wabara, in Abuja.

DAILY POST reports that the meeting is the third this week.

When a similar meeting held on Wednesday, the Turaki-led group said it was open to reconciliation with the camp led by Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Turaki also confirmed that talks were showing positive signs of getting to a truce

The Abdulrahman Mohamed-led caretaker committee of the PDP, which is backed by Wike, had insisted that it was open to reconciliation, and listed some conditions, which includes that the planned national convention, scheduled for 29 and 30th March, must hold.

Present at the ongoing meeting are Turaki, Wabara, former governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu, former governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau, and a former information minister, Prof. Jerry Gana.
