    Chelsea want Armstrong?

Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on Everton midfielder Harrison Armstrong ahead of the January transfer window.

The west London giants tried to land a new midfielder last summer after sanctioning Enzo Fernandez‘s move to Manchester City.

Monaco’s Lamine Camara was a top target before the deadline, but the French outfit pulled the plug on the deal in the 11th hour.

Chelsea have since been touted to return for Bournemouth star Alex Scott, whose contract expires at the end of next season.

Alongside Scott, they are also keeping track of Armstrong, who has been an integral part of the Toffees’ first-team plans this term.

Everton’s owners tried to sell him to Nottingham Forest for £40m last summer, but pulled the plug after fan protests.

The owners have since put the club for sale and reports claim that Chelsea believe Armstrong can be prised away next year.

Armstrong has made immense progress over the past year and it could take a much higher fee to sign him in January or next summer.
