    Funke Akindele, others join National Women Rally committee

    The organisers of the National Women Mega Empowerment and Rally 2026 have unveiled a high-profile entertainment committee featuring top government officials and Nollywood stars ahead of the May 5 event in Abuja.

    The initiative, linked to the office of Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim and the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, said the committee will drive cultural and creative engagement at the rally scheduled to hold at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

    According to the organisers on its official handle on Instagram on Sunday, the event, themed “The Power of 10 Million: One Voice! One Movement!! One Choice!!!”, is expected to attract millions of women from across the country.

    “This is more than entertainment, this is the spirit of the movement in motion. Celebrating women. Showcasing culture. Inspiring a nation through creativity and unity,” the statement read.

    The committee is chaired by Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, with co-chairpersons including Hannatu Musa Musawa, Rachael Umahi and Ramatu Tijani.

    The organisers said the committee is tasked with “planning, organising and coordinating all entertainment-related activities to ensure the programme is engaging, lively and memorable.”

    They added that the rally is designed to mobilise women nationwide through a blend of empowerment initiatives and cultural expression
