Chelsea will be eyeing back-to-back Premier League wins when they face Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this afternoon.
The Blues cruised to a comfortable 5-1 win over Bournemouth at home last weekend, but they face a sterner challenge on the road today.
Ahead of the game, manager Xabi Alonso will be without influential captain Reece James, who has undergone surgery for a knee injury.
Formation: 3-4-2-1
Predicted Line-up:
Emiliano Martinez has become Chelsea’s undisputed starter in goal since his summer move from Aston Villa. He will be eyeing his maiden clean sheet for the west London giants.
No changes are likely in defence. Josh Acheampong, Maxence Lacroix and Levi Colwill should line up in the back three, while Pedro Neto and Pep Chavarria look set to continue as the wing-backs.
Moises Caicedo made his injury return in fine fashion last weekend. He should line up alongside Jordan Henderson in midfield. Henderson was stellar vs Bournemouth with two goals, including a sensational free-kick.
No changes are expected in the frontline too. Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers are among the in-form attacking midfielders in the division. They should accompany Joao Pedro, who will lead the line.
Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Everton: Martinez; Acheampong, Lacroix, Colwill; Neto, Henderson, Caicedo, Chavarria; Palmer, Rogers; Pedro.
